Mrs. Carter: Happy news for Ashley and J.P. Rosenbaum today!
There are not that many examples throughout the history of “The Bachelorette” of couples who have really gone the distance, so when you see one that has it’s really something worth celebrating. Really, you’re talking about a group that for now really just includes Ashley as well as former star Trista Sutter. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are getting pretty close to joining this club themselves, but it is also fair to say that they are not quite there just yet.
But it was on this day one year ago that Ashley and her beau first tied the knot in a ceremony that aired on ABC in January of this year, and the two chose to celebrate it in some posts online. We begin with J.P., who shared this sweet message on his Twitter account:
“1 yr ago today I was lucky enough to marry the love of my life. Thank u to my gorgeous wife for all you do & all you are. Love u @ashhebert.”
Meanwhile, Ashley also shared a little message of her own:
“Thank you to everyone that wished us a Happy Anniversary! We love you! Xoxo”
Ashley and J.P. have made some various appearances on the franchise over the years, as they are one of those great examples of people who have managed to find a way to make it work after the show. That is not always a very easy thing to do, especially when you consider just how many various opportunities that there are for things to go very wrong after the show ends. Not only are you taken out of an environment that pushes romance and exotic locations all the time, but then you have to find a way to mesh back into regular life where there isn’t a jet plane waiting to whisk you off to Antigua for the weekend where some band like Coldplay will be waiting to privately serenade you and your partner. The other thing that seems to be a downfall for many couples is handling the fame once you’re off the show. Not only is there ego that comes with fame and countless fans that want you, but there’s always media outlets that are quick to claim that someone’s cheating and the relationship is in shambles. It happens every time whether it’s true or not and they don’t really prepare you for that part of the process when you sign up to go on this show to find love (if you’re one of the people there for love that is and not trying to just become famous.)
