Fox actually thinking about an ‘X Factor’ USA renewal … but why?
The following news may surprise you: “The X Factor” is not necessarily six feet under just yet.
There’s no getting around the fact that the ratings for the show this season are terrible, and we recently publicly shamed Simon Cowell for caring so much about launching pop acts that gobble up money that he has forgotten about actually making a good show in the process. That has been the biggest problem with the series more so than any of its talent (though that has been at times questionable this year): The show’s just not fun to watch. Mario Lopez is an unsympathetic host, and while Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland have been solid on the judges’ panel, Paulina Rubio has been a bust, and both she and Simon have seemed at times so checked-out at times that they barely remember who their contestants are.
Entertainment Weekly reports that there are talks to bring back the show, but for a much smaller slate of episodes than the one currently on the air. We still would love to see something that was more of a revolution to the genre, where we saw Simon and some other record executives guide contestants through the actual process behind the scenes before performing. We don’t need auditions or results shows, but we do need something to make this feel different.
The reasons that Fox could consider this primarily have to do with the rotten state of their own schedule. “Bones” flopped hard on Fridays last week, “Almost Human” is already at disappointing ratings, and save for “Sleepy Hollow,” this hasn’t been a good year for the network. Bringing back this show and shortening it at least gives the network something that they can tweak to save money, and also run some in-show ads during to cut costs. An hour or two a week, versus three, is not the same sort of investment.
Despite all of our venom over the show, we know that it can work given how much fun that we find the British show to be. It just needs a better host, and four panelists who all realize that this is entertainment more than some sort of vocal Hunger Games where contestants constantly look like they are on the verge of tears.

Oh, that’s good! Well Done, Fox! You’re doing the right thing to renew The X Factor USA for season four. I’m so happy.
Fox, if you are reading this, here’s what the show needs:
What the Final Live Show needs is the final 16 finalists to sing two songs about what happened in Philippines this year and the passing of Paul Walker for Charity in order to get the ratings higher. So, it would be renewed.
Just like you did with You Are Not Alone about the shooting at high school last year. Just get everybody in America to watch it.
The song about Philippines should be either Heal the World, or We Are the World, or Do They Know It’s Christmas?, or What About Now, or something else.
Because if you choose Do They Know It’s Christmas, you just need to change the lyrics from “And there won’t be snow in Africa this Christmas time” to “And there won’t be snow in Philippines this Christmas time.”
I hope you like my idea.

Well, I’m gald that Fox are thinking about renewing The X Factor USA for a fourth season.
I don’t want them to cancel it after three seasons.
They just need to find a new judge to take Simon Cowell’s place next season.
Because he’s planning to return to the U.K. to become a judge again in the British version of The X Factor.
No more four-chair challenge. Just please bring back the boot camp and Judges’ houses next year and everything will get back to normal.
If all of the fans are reading this, we all need to watch The X Factor on Thanksgiving Day.
So, the ratings would get higher and higher.
What about the others who didn’t make it to the live show?
Like Jillian Jensen, Playback, Girls United, Ashly Williams, and many more.
They would like to do it again next season and they would make it to the live show this time.
Everybody who didn’t make it to the live show, watch The X Factor this week, if you all want to audition again next year. Also watch the semi finals and the final live show in order to get the ratings higher. So, they can renew The X Factor.

If not a permanent vacation, why not give the U.S. franchise a rest and just televise the U.K. x-factor stateside next year? Simon, you would still realize your ad revenue while expending basically no U.S. production costs. Oh, and we’d get a good show to watch. Don’t worry Fox, the American talent show viewer isn’t as insanely nationalistic as you might fear. Besides, we would still have the Voice, Idol and (your other show) AGT for our wannabe pop stars to audition for. And if that works out, Simon can stay in London. A win win for everyone!
