Susan Boyle’s cover of ‘Mad World’ hits web

Susan’s album is coming soon.

When we first heard that Susan Boyle was going to be covering the Tears For Fears classic “Mad World,” we gave the singer a lot of credit — this is not a safe song. Thanks to the Gary Jules and Adam Lambert covers, there are legions of fans around the world who know and love this song already.

Thankfully, Susan doesn’t try to emulate either Adam or Gary’s version of the song — choosing to give it instead her own flair. Speaking to AOL Music (which is where you can also listen to this cover), she had this to say about this song as a whole:

“‘Mad World,’ that’s about social comment. It’s as though your eye is a camera and you’re looking outward and observing. It’s a very surreal song.”

After listening to the track, what do you think of Susan’s version? The full album of “Someone To Watch Over Me” hits stores on November 1 here in North America.
