A new 911 call has been released regarding Terrell Owens’ overdosing on pills earlier this month — and it appears as though the NFL star’s assistant thought he was willingly choosing to administer the medication himself.
For evidence of this, just listen to the call here — and what the assistant has to say when asked if she believes that Owens was trying to take his own life.
This is not the first time that Owens has faced some controversy when it comes to this subject — he previously had to take on the rumors back in 2006 while playing for the Dallas Cowboys.
Owens has yet to respond to the talk — but he recently held a workout in hopes of getting on board with another NFL team after playing with the Cincinnati Bengals last season.
Update: A new statement from the athlete’s rep denied that Owens was trying to do himself any harm, contrary to what the 911 call suggests.
