‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 8 preview: A deeper look into ‘Alibi’
In the latest sneak peek from Tuesday night’s “NCIS” season 11 episode, we have what is basically a reminder that there is still at the core of the show cases regarding members of the military who either need help or prosecution … and that there is still many things that Mallard needs to learn about everyday conversation.
The sneak peek below introduces us to such terminology as “handbags” in reference to men, and also whether or not there is anything interesting that can come out of conversations over someone smelling nice. Outside of introducing us to Staff Sargent Justin Dunne in a way without actually meeting him, this is not the most eventful sneak peek that you have ever seen in the show’s history.
What this clip really does to us is remind us more that “Alibi” is probably not going to be the most eventful episode in the show’s history. Considering that next week marks the arrival of Emily Wickersham’s character of Bishop, it is not going to be able to do anything to really start up some sort of long-term storyline. When it comes to mere premise alone, in trying to figure out whether or not an alibi can really be ironclad, this is not the most intriguing mystery that the team has taken on over the course of the past several year. Then again, it may still surprise us (and we’re hoping so, given that we are talking here about the November sweeps, and a time in which shows should really be trying to take themselves up to the next level).
By the end of this particular episode, you should be well prepared for Wickersham’s arrival, and to figure out where in the world the series is going to go from here when it comes to its presentation of mysteries. Hopefully, we’re going to get some that are a little more complex and will take some time to solve.
