‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: More photos of Emily Wickersham’s Bishop
The wait until Bishop’s arrival on “NCIS” is just over a week away, but before you get a chance to see whether or not this new character brings something new and interesting to the show, why not take a look now at some new shots of her in action?
One of the new details that we have learned about this character via CBS is that Bishop is someone who is going to be arriving on the show specifically to help with an incident that she predicted would take place two years ago. No, she is not a sage or the secret twin of the Oracle from “The Matrix.” Instead, she is just an analyst, and a rather smart one who knows a thing or two about the sort of stuff that is going on within the world of security and technology.
Admittedly, we have a great bit of sympathy right now for Wickersham, who is coming into this show in a tricky spot. She’s not trying to replace Cote de Pablo, and Bishop is not intended to be Ziva 2.0. But there are of course going to be those who want to compare one of them naturally to the other just because Ziva’s exit led to there being an opening for a new series regular. We just hope that the character is given a chance, even if you (like us) still want to see Cote’s character return in the future in some capacity.
We know already that Bishop is sticking around thanks to the promotion of Wickersham to series regular, so the major mystery now is how she will go from being someone who helps out the team to try and solve a case to someone who is actually a permanent part of the team moving forward. There must be some other sort of skills that she is clearly able to bring to the table, and they are skills that the team as a whole appreciates.

I will wait and see. I hope that Emily as Bishop has a bit of grittiness to her character like Ziva and Diane Neal as Agent Borin. The guys namely Dinozzo and McGee need a “tough as nails” female to keep them grounded. What I’d really like in a perfect world would be to find a way to let Emily do her thing on NCIS and the writers find ways to include Ziva again (if Cote is willing to return) and Diane Neal as well. I enjoy the show but miss the female balance. Poor Abby is in an “all boys” club at the moment. Having Delilah pop in a bit more too would be cool.
