‘America’s Got Talent’ champ Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. to release CD

A CD is coming!

If you love Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. as much as we do around these parts, then odds are you are going to be made rather happy by this bit of news.

According to a new press release, the “America’s Got Talent” champ is going to be releasing a CD built up entirely of Rat Pack classics with Columbia Records. Among some of the standards covered on the disc (entitled “That’s Life”) are “Fly Me To the Moon,” “My Way,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” the title track, and even a duet of the holiday classic “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

Unfortunately for Landau, the main thing in his way could be the November 21 release date (which is an incredibly competitive one in the music industry) — but then again, past records from Susan Boyle and Jackie Evancho both ended up becoming major hits around the world.

Being that we rooted for Landau every step of the way on “AGT” this past year, we have to admit that we are excited about this. What’s your feeling at the moment?
