Scarlett Johansson’s new perfume ad — as glam as glam can be?

The ad arrives.

Scarlett Johansson seems to want to prove one thing in her new advertisement for Dolce & Gabbana’s “The One” — that she is as much of an Old Hollywood movie actress as someone can be. (Then again, she also playfully quips in the ad that she only “plays [an actress] in the movies.”)

The entire ad seems to be build up of a number of random quotations, which are probably going to divide consumers — some will likely love and appreciate the feel of the video, but others may very well find the whole ordeal to be over-the-top and irritating.

This ad does come at a nice time for Scarlett, who has had to endure a number of tabloid situations as of late including some false rumors about her dating life and a photo scandal that was the result of hacking to begin with.

Overall, what do you think of this ad — in particular when it comes to how it stands up against some other celebrity scent ads out there?
