It’s certainly in many ways unexpected, but it is nonetheless true — Tim Burton is in fact getting his own creation during the 2011 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Burton’s balloon will be of a creation named B. Boy, which you can see over at this link — the same place where the legendary “Edward Scissorhands” director talks a bit about getting this opportunity to join the likes of Spider-Man and Kermit the Frog:
“It’s such a surprise to be asked, and it was great. It’s such a surreal thing that you don’t even believe what you’re hearing. Somebody’s trying to play a joke on you or something. It had that kind of feeling.”
Burton’s float gives the Parade yet another creation that will excite adult audiences — something that is equally important to enchanting some of the children that are out there.
What do you think of this (potentially fantastic) idea?
