While I am excited about the possibility of some dramatic focus on Tony, I'm completely sick of the mourning of Ziva. I found her character rather nasty, obnoxious, unrealistic, smug, and insensitive and cruel with Tony. Enough with the shots of the empty desk and angst filled looks. They made Tony's character revolve around pumping up Ziva's for the last 5 seasons. Can't they stop and let him have his own stories now that she's gone? I want to see the enormously talented Michael Weatherly's Tony have some drama that doesn't revolve around this abusive, abrasive character.

I agree to a point Lloyd. But its only been a few episodes since she left, 3 or 4, and i only really see Tony being affected by it, which is natural as he was the one who had more feelings for her than anyone else, even Gibbs. I think its different when someone dies, you tend to keep it more to yourself than when someone treasured just leaves the nest. They are still around to talk about with hope in the back of your mind that they will return. I didn't see that any of them really felt the same about the others who have passed. There wasn't that same rapport. I don't see them moping. Remembering someone from time to time is not moping. They do their jobs well and they still live their lives.

Personally, I think it's a little odd to have all the characters spending half the season "mourning" a character who is still alive and well and simply decided to quit her job, especially in light of all the characters on the show who have actually died and then given from 5 minutes to one episode of mourning and then rarely (or never) mentioned again. Ziva quit her job. She and Tony were not in a relationship. It's not as if they were lovers or married for years and she was tragically murdered. These characters are professionals and not the type to sit around moping for a year because of a team mate's career change.
