‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: Maggie Siff, husband expecting first child

The latest -Mrs. Carter: How is this for some unusual timing?

On “Sons of Anarchy” season 6, one of the biggest stories has been the attempts by Maggie Siff’s Tara to try and take back her child from Jax. Just how far has she been willing to go in an effort to make this happen? Let us just put it this way: She was willing to fake a pregnancy in hopes that she could manipulate Gemma, have her arrested, and manage to finally free her children from this nasty life of corruption. For the time being, it seems as though she is going to be successful, but at the same time, this is “Sons of Anarchy,” and crazier things have happened on this show over the years.

So now, the bizarre coincidence that we have to share here is that in real life, Siff and her husband are actually expecting their first child together. Speaking to Us Weekly, the 39-year old actress had the following to say on the subject:

“I haven’t really announced [it] yet … I’m past the nausea so I’m feeling a lot better, a lot more energetic. We just finished shooting the season, which is good.”

The clear question now is whether or not this will lead to Tara actually getting pregnant on the show. The timing of the announcement is a little bit right in that there will not have to be any sort of camera tricks to make it appear as though she is not. The only real impact that we could see here would come courtesy of season 7, which could start shooting at a time in May when she would be on maternity leave. It is possible that Tara could just be written out of the first few episodes only to return later; regardless of the situation, we’re sure that Kurt Sutter and company will work around the joyous news for Maggie so that they can also tell their story. There is enough leeway in here in order to make it happen.

“Sons of Anarchy” is going to air its eighth episode of season 6, entitled “Los Fantasmas,” on Tuesday night. You can preview that installment by heading over to the link here, and we will have a full review after it airs on Tuesday night.
