While there are a number of conversation topics in this interview, a number of them are topics we have already heard about a number of times before (including the 2009 American Music Awards). He does, however, share some interesting details about how he views his “For Your Entertainment” debut:
“No matter what the genre is, it’s all very personal, even on upbeat, fun tracks. The last album was a little bit more of a fantasy escape…even my image for that last album felt very theatrical and kind of over-the-top and intentionally tacky. I get a kick out of making artistic statements that are kind of ridiculous.”
As for his personal life, Adam says that he is incredibly “happy” with Sauli Koskinen, and says that it is the second long-term relationship he has had in his life. He also emphasized his desire to keep most of it private so that he can fully enjoy it without so many people trying to look in.
Adam’s sophomore release is set to come early next year, so stay tuned for more details on that!
