Friday is very well turning out to be a day that is all about Royal Family news. On one side of London Thursday night, we had Pippa Middleton showing off plenty of skin in a red gown for a charity event. Meanwhile, her older sister (and Duchess of Cambridge) Kate went for something a bit more conservative while attending the 100 Women in Hedge Funds gala at St. James Palace.
The event was a fundraiser for the Child Bereavement Charity, an organization who helps young ones try to cope with loss. Considering what happened to William growing up with Princess Diana, it is safe to say that this is a group that is near and dear to the Duke’s heart.
Speaking at the event in a brief speech, William certainly made this clear:
“What [this organization is doing] to alleviate the suffering of children who have lost family member — and bereaved families who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child — is beyond praise.”
William and Kate have limited their public appearances since the Royal Wedding largely to charity events, and have otherwise tried to live the sort of quiet life they desire.
