If you though Javier Bardem was absolutely terrifying in “No Country for Old Men” (a movie that made him into a star and earned him an Academy Award), just wait to see who he is going to be tormenting next.
In an interview with the TV show “Nightline” this week, Bardem confirmed that he was going to be joining the cast of he next James Bond movie as the lead villain:
“I am very excited. My parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun.”
The movie will still feature Daniel Craig as the signature character, but for the time being there is still no attached title to the project (despite some rumors to the contrary). Due to a crisis with studio MGM, production of this movie has taken a great deal longer than the last Bond film “Quantum of Solace.”
What do you think about the choice of Bardem as the villain?
