After literally months of waiting, the first major trailer for “The Avengers” is here — and if you love superheroes, it’s safe to say that you are probably going to lapping this up.
The biggest surprise for the trailer is simply that it manages to be exciting without actually showing us who the major villains are, or how they are going to appear in this universe. Instead, we see plenty of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Mark Ruffalo’s new interpretation of Bruce Banner — which, judging from the brief footage we have seen already, may be even better than Edward Norton’s.
The trailer ultimately does not give very much away, but it shows us at least how some of these characters are going to interact. Joss Whedon’s signature touch is already all over some of these scenes — which is going to be much-needed in a movie that will likely focus on some considerable action sequences.
Based on this trailer, are you even more excited for the movie’s May release?
