Mrs. Carter: Have Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici finally set themselves a wedding date?
Not only did the “Bachelor” couple make the shocking announcement this week about their big ceremony, but they followed that up with what we think is an even-more-shocking announcement: Not only will it air on ABC, but it will air live on Sunday, January 26. That means everyone crying will be saved in prosperity, and that if someone’s crazy relative decides to get up and start taking their pants off during the ceremony, there’s nothing that can be done to stop them (not that we’re trying to give them any ideas or anything). The advantage here is that in going live, there is no chance that paparazzi or wedding guests can spoil the look of Catherine’s gown or of the ceremony itself prior to the show airing.
Sean first revealed the news in an interview with People Magazine, where he also explained why the two were having the move made to get married on TV so that everyone could bear witness to it:
“It’s really exciting. Time has just flown by – I think January is going to sneak up on us pretty quickly! … I think it’s only natural to have it on TV seeing as how our relationship started. This will be a cool opportunity to share the most special day of our lives with all the people who have been invested in us along the way.”
Wedding planning is already deeply underway, but Catherine has yet to choose a dress for the event. All she knows for now is that she wants it to be “form-fitting,” and not exactly something in that princess layered cupcake mold. Not everyone wants to look like a giant meringue.
Hopefully, this date being set signals to some other people that the couple was not just pushing the date back from when it seemed like they would first get married (Sean said that he could wed her almost immediately on the “After the Final Rose” show) because there was trouble in paradise. It was really just that he and his fiancee didn’t get a chance to spend much time together during “Dancing with the Stars,” and it was then around April or May when they actually started to get to be a couple on their own terms.
In getting this far, Sean has already become one of the most-successful male leads ever on the Sean. Suffice it to say, Juan Pablo Galavis has his work cut out for him.
