Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney is likely singing all sorts of pleasant music this weekend — he is now a married man.
During this afternoon in London, the legendary singer and new fiancee Nancy Shevell tied the knot in a ceremony Marylebone Town Hall — one that was relatively subdued by celebrity standards and contained just a small handful of guests. Among the attendees? Paul’s former bandmate Ringo Starr and his wife, George Harrison’s widow Olivia, and both he and Shevell’s children from past relationships.
Paul was in good spirits throughout the occasion, joking to paparazzi and acting as if he did not understand why so many people were interested in what he was up to.
Bizarre fact — McCartney married Shevell on what would have been John Lennon’s 71st birthday.
