We know that Leonardo DiCaprio has to want an Academy Award at this point. The guy has made countless movies (“The Aviator,” “The Basketball Diaries,” “Revolutionary Road”) where we thought he would pick up some recognition — but he was either snubbed of the award or the nomination altogether.
However, his November film “J. Edgar” may finally be his chance. Playing the controversial former director of the FBI, DiCaprio certainly looks intense in the poster to the left — not only that, but the movie already has some prestigious airs to it courtesy of Oscar favorite Clint Eastwood sitting in the director’s chair. It also features the likes of awards darlings Naomi Watts and Judi Dench, and will feature young up-and-comer Arnie Hammer from “The Social Network.”
Although we may still be several months away from Oscar nominations (and we haven’t even seen the film yet), do you think this could be the movie that ends up finally getting Leo his gold?
