Thursday was a busy episode of “The X Factor,” to say the least. We had group performances, solo performances, and at the end end of the day, the top 32 acts were finally announced and will take off to the judges’ homes beginning next week.
While there were plenty of people on this list we barely even recognized, there were also some familiar names — including Tora Woloshin, Chris Rene, Stacy Francis, and a pair of youngsters in Brian Bradley (otherwise known as the cockiest kid on the planet) and Rachel Crow (who may be the nicest kid of the planet).
What was also interesting about this episode were the choices or mentors. Why have the youngest member of the panel (in Nicole Scherzinger) mentor the over-30 crowd? After all, she was in a group in the Pussycat Dolls — however, Paula Abdul is in charge of this difficult category. L.A. Reid has the boys (which is good since he wants to keep close tabs on Rene’s sobriety), and Simon Cowell has the girls (which seems ultimately to be the group that he wanted to begin with).
What do you think about some of the selections from this episode?
