While on Tuesday night’s new episode of “Glee” we got the opportunity to see an entirely new side of Harry Shum Jr.’s character of Mike Chang, the tragic news regarding Steve Jobs on Wednesday allowed us to take a more up-close look at the actor’s life and personal idols.
The full post is too lengthy to paste here, but on Harry’s official Tumblr page Wednesday the actor composed a rather touching story about how he previously took part in the company’s famous “iPod” silhouette commercials, and how much he loved working for Jobs even though he was never close with him — and did not even get a chance to meet him until after the fact.
After sharing the full story about finally getting to meet Jobs and shake his hand, Harry closes his message with a brief note encouraging everyone to remember the man for his accomplishments, and to allow them to be an inspiration moving forward:
“He has influenced the world more than anyone could have ever imagined. An innovator, a pioneer and a genius who only come around once in a lifetime. This is a very sad day but I will use it to remember Steve by all of the amazing things that he has brought into this world.”
Jobs will indeed be missed, and we will have more touching tributes from those he impacted over the coming days.
