Jared’s performance was awesome absolutely! Funny that you can’t say anything nice about his performance without folks thinking you are slagging other actors. Jensen and Jared are great actors and even better when they are together in a scene.

If you want to write reviews, you should try to set your bias aside, Jensen Ackles’ performance led that show and sold some pretty repetitive writing as far as story line. He was obviously a different person as Sam’s will to live without any makeup tricks or stilted dialogue to assist. The same really cannot be said of Jared’s performance, and the stilted dialogue they used for Ezekiel hampered another actor’s (Tahmoh Penikett) portrayal.Julian Richings Death was also less interesting of a character when turned into a pervy fanboy for Sam.
Jim Beavers was excellent as not quite Bobby. Misha Collins turned in an awesome portrayal of a now powerless Castiel as well. Big props go to the VFX team for the new leaderboard and solid effects.The sets and stunts were pretty spectacular too.

Both the Js were fantastic this episode, but I have to admit that for me it was actually Jensen’s performance that owned this episode. Jared was great in the hallucination stuff – which I feel got us a better look into where Sam’s at w/ his feelings (and it’s not really a good place at all). But I gotta give props to Jensen, he nailed it all the way through the episode, both in the real world AND playing the other Dean in Sam’s head.

Great premiere, really enjoyed it! Loved TP as Ezekiel as well. Hope we’ll see him again later in the season.

In reply to Lawrence. The same way Sam pushed Lucifer back in Swan Song, the angel can give the vessel control. I guess Castiel just doesn't have a reason to do that with Jimmy.

In reply to Lawrence. just like demon possession... they have to ability to allow the vessel to control. however in this case sam doesnt know that he is there.

My question is how is Sam able to be himself while Ezekiel is inside him? If this was possible, then Castiel would have split personalities with the human host of Jimmy inside of him.
