Mrs. Carter: The first twist has already come into play for the upcoming “X Factor” UK live shows.
After making it through the judges’ houses phase of the competition this weekend, a report came out late Sunday that Sese Foster of the girl group Miss Dynamix is actually expecting her second child. Now she has yet another person to think about at the age of 22, while she also has to give performances and not let her other two group members down. This certainly does heap on the pressure when it comes to giving great performances and impressing the judges and voters.
Sese (the middle of the three girls above) confirmed the news today in an interview with the Mirror, where she said that she knew that she was a little over three months expecting at the time of her judges’ houses performance, but did not tell production or her mentor in Gary Barlow in fear that it could give the group a disadvantage. She is now five months along, and expected to give birth in January.
So how will this change some of the performances from here on out? The simple answer to that is that the structure of the performances will probably be a little bit different in terms of moving around the stage, and production is instituting precautions in case she gives birth early. Gary and her fellow bandmates are being extremely supportive of her during the process which is something that we are happy to hear.
Ultimately, Britain will control just how far this group will be able to go in the competition, but this is not the first time that an act has performed on the show while pregnant. Charley of the Essex duo 2 Shoes performed during the 2011 season while expecting, and they were eligible to return late in the season in the vote that brought in Amelia Lily after Frankie Cocozza was sent home.
