‘LA Ink’ star Kat Von D may have ended her reality television career, but she still has a good many things on the go.
Recently Kat posted on her Twitter account that she is writing another book, saying; “Pretty damn excited! Only a few hours left before my editor, Sandra Bark, lands from NY to get started writing this next book!!!! No, my next book will not be about my cheating ex. There are way too many positive and inspiring things to write about instead.”
It also looks like the tattoo artist is going to start laying down some tracks for an album. While Kat was at the Rage video game launch over the weekend, she spoke about her passion for music, saying; “I’ve been passionate about music all my life. I’ve been playing classical piano since I was six. So I understand the form, but it will be fun to be able to translate a message.”
Von D feels pretty confident that her creative persona will translate well into music. She explains; “I think it’s much like tattooing or the TV show or make-up, my clothing line fashion. All those things, they’re just different outlets to be able to be creative. So music, I think it’s going to be one of those things.”
Kat says that her music influences are bands like AC/DC, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Metallica and Guns N’ Roses and that fans should expect her tracks to focus on her “dark, more tragically romantic” side.
