We have a few stories today when it comes to Adam Lambert — and we will also have an airplay update as soon as the numbers have completely arrived. (Update: the numbers are in, and “Whataya Want From Me” has brought in a total of 1,620 spins per USA Today — which puts it around the average as of late.)
For now, let’s focus more on both the past and future when it comes to Adam’s music.
When it comes to the past, “Whataya Want From Me” is going to get the reality-show treatment yet again Monday night — this time coming via vocal group Delilah on “The Sing-Off.” Of course, we will have some sort of video of the performance by either late Monday night or Tuesday morning — so long as they don’t change up their song at the last minute. This is the second time in the past several months that Adam has been covered on an NBC reality show, with the last time being Nakia on “The Voice” (a performance that drew praise from Adam himself).
As we’ve suspected for some time, one of the reasons for Adam’s sophomore release taking some time to come out has to do with the business side of things. Writing in a new post on Twitter, here is what he had to say on the matter:
“There’s biz & technical stuff to sort…I’m workin as fast as I can… Thank you all for being so patient. As soon as I know more – u will.”
Adam changed management earlier this year, and it’s certainly possible that could be playing a lingering role here. No matter what, we will have more on the new music whenever it comes out.
