Many Hollywood actors these days have been making the move from in front of the camera to behind it, but one person you won’t find in the director’s chair is ‘Moneyball’ actor Brad Pitt.
Even though Brad’s partner, Angelina Jolie, has moved into film directing, Pitt insists that he has no desire to follow in her footsteps saying that it will take him away from his family for too long. He said; “I have no aspirations for directing. It would drive me crazy and my family crazy, I’d never see them. It would take me three years to do it. I like what I do now. I love cinema and I’m still watching films I was watching 20 years ago. Making films that stand, that’s the goal.”
Pitt may star in the new baseball film ‘Moneyball’, but says that he really doesn’t know very much about the sport outside of tossing the ball around with his sons. Pitt explains; “I know very little about baseball besides the fact I took one in the face when I was in junior high. Eighteen stitches was the result of that incident. I like to play ball with my boys though, throw the ball around, these kind of things. I like American football and football-football.”
