Christopher Nolan front runner to direct ‘The Twilight Zone’

Will he or won’t he?

Warner Brothers is behind the upcoming ‘Twilight Zone’ movie and they have some major Hollywood directors on their wish list, the problem they are having is narrowing it down to just one.

The studio has their sights set on a few different high profile directors and so far ‘Dark Knight’ director Christopher Nolan and ‘Transformers’ director Michael Bay are two of the bigger names they are looking at to direct the film, but they are also checking out ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’ director Alfonso Curon and ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ director Rupert Wyatt.

So far it looks like Nolan is the front runner for the project, but at this time he hasn’t said if he is even interested in directing a ‘Twilight Zone’ movie.  Insiders have said that Bay has shown interest in the script, but he is putting all of his efforts into a project called ‘Pain and Gain’ at the moment, so it’s unclear whether or not he would have time for both projects.

No one really knows much about what the plot of the film is at this point, but reports are saying that the movie would follow a single story line and would touch on a few different themes from the Rod Sterling television series that aired from 1958 to 1964.

‘The Twilight Zone’ will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Michael Ireland and was written by Jason Rothenberg.
