‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers; James Remar on the appearance of Alex’s dad

Guest stars on “Grey’s Anatomy” are not the sort of thing that this show takes lightly. When you have a cast that is as enormous as this one, then it better mean something if you are going to be showing up and taking even a few minutes of time away from the main cast.

Well luckily, we have a feeling that James Remar’s appearance on the show is really going to mean something critical. The actor spoke out on the subject of his role as Alex’s estranged father to TV Guide, and he explained that there are some very good reasons as to why the two do not have anywhere close to a good relationship:

“He’s not a guy who’s been living a very wholesome life. He’s a drug addict and really on the skids. Their reunion is charged and difficult.”

The site also claims that the arc for Remar on the show is ultimately pretty small, so you should not expect this to be something that is going to last deep into the season. He will likely be in a few episodes, and then something will happen to send him on his way. Given that Alex already has a storyline to take on right now regarding his brand-new girlfriend Jo (Camilla Luddington), it is probably not the best idea out there for him to have too much on his plate to the point where it weighs him down.
