‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: First look at Chord Overstreet, Phoebe Strole

On “Glee” season 5, we are going to be seeing Chord Overstreet’s Sam Evans looking for love … but in an entirely different sort of way than what we are used to.

After seeing the guy date the likes of Brittany and Quinn, who have each really been tied to someone else previously, he is going to be getting a love interest of his own this season courtesy of someone who could actually be the new school nurse. She is a college student played by Phoebe Strole, who Lea Michele knows rather well courtesy of her days doing “Spring Awakening.”

Based on the photo above (from the October 3 “Tina in the Sky with Diamonds”), this is not going to be a very easy visit to the nurse for Sam. He looks to be in a horrendous amount of pain, while she almost looks like she could care less about what he going through here. The good thing about this relationship, at least based on what we are seeing already, is that it could be something that blossoms slowly over time. We think that this is something that Sam needs. Most of his other relationships have come about a little bit more spur-of-the-moment, and then eventually fall apart because of some sort of circumstance. This could be someone that he is happy with, at least once she gets over that whole complicated thing known as having a crush on someone who is a high school student in college.

Are you excited to see Sam get a love interest of his own, especially since it could actually spare Chord from having to deal with some of the massive fan wars for a change?
