Even though “Dark Shadows” may not actually be released until 2012, we are starting to see some additional photos for the newest reunion of Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton.
Empire Magazine has the two new images — and the one to the left showcases Jonny Lee Miller’s character of Roger Collins alongside Michille Pfeiffer’s Elizabeth Collins Studdard. There is also another photo below featuring Johnny Depp in a rather gruesome situation.
The film stars Depp as Barnabus Collins, a man who immigrated to the United States in the 18th century, found fame and fortune, but ultimately fell victim to a curse and ended up spending two centuries imprisoned as a vampire. When he is ultimately revived, it is the 1970s — and the fate of his family and his fortune has changed significantly. (There will also be a plethora of other supernatural creatures thrown in there for good measures.)
Some of Depp and Burton’s other theatrical collaborations include the likes of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Edward Scissorhands,” and “Sweeney Todd.”
Does this film excite you as much as some past Burton / Depp pictures?
