Well, debs, if that is what you would like to see then you are more than entitled to want to see that, however others like myself are also more than entitled to not want the same thing and to get mad/upset about things that happen that we do not want. The article asked what we want to see and that is what I want to see and do not want to see with these characters and others.

I completely agree with you that all three main characters on this show are gorgeous men, but I definitely disagree about the rest of that part of your statement about it not being realistic for the guys to ever get with someone because 1) just because someone is attractive doesn’t automatically mean they should have a love interest. People can and do choose to avoid romantic entanglements for all sorts of reasons. Dealing with fallen angels, demons, and supernatural entities of all sorts seems to me a good reason to avoid entangling yourself with someone new, especially romantically. I’m not saying that’s healthy at all, but realistic..yes. 2) Both Dean and Sam have been involved with people before. So the statement of saying “it would be odd if neither of them ever got with anyone” is a bit null since they have been with people before and as the article above states…those things have usually ended bad for their respective partners. Speaking as someone that has experienced heartbreak before, it isn’t really high on my to-do list to put myself back out there in the dating game and that is just from a normal experience, not having dealt with the types of relationship ending events that these characters have dealt with. Therefore, no more relationships could be a very realistic concept for both Dean and Sam. and 3) I’m not sure how much importance realism holds anyway for a show that deals with vampires, angels, demons, etc etc etc.

I do very much plan to watch the new season; I’m extremely excited about it and I truly hope that I enjoy it. However, when I run across an article such as this that gives us information that I have an opinion about, then I’ll state my opinion (as we’re all welcome to do) and worry and bite my nails and whatever else. If I didn’t love the show and the characters, I wouldn’t bother. :)

well i dont agree there has been quite a few female names come up lately that will be showing up for series 9 i dont know if any will be love interest s for the guys but i think its about time there was not lisa or amelia type s just someone they can meet and have feelings for without everyone going mad about it they are both gorgeous guys would be very odd if neither of them ever got with anyone and not very realistic i think we should just chill watch the new season and enjoy.

Not only do I enjoy it best when the show focuses just on Dean, Sam, Cas and the relationships between them and whatever main story line(s) are happening with them, but I also hate it when they try to reduce all the female characters to nothing more than love interests. Can we have more awesome women like Charlie that can just be cool characters without the whole idea of “single attractive female=must link them to a male character as love interest”?
