‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Emily Deschanel’s real-life husband to play…

Take a look -So how is this for some fun casting? While the role has yet to be officially confirmed, it is looking like the person who may marry Booth and Brennan on “Bones” later this fall could be the actor who is actually married to Emily Deschanel in real life.

According to E! News, David Hornsby, best known these days for his part on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” will guest-star during the upcoming wedding episode as a priest. Is he the priest who marries the two longtime lovebirds on the show? To us, the only two candidates are this character and the ex-priest who turns up early in the season; but, given the status of the latter character, he may not be able to deliver the ceremony to suit Booth’s Catholic roots.

If Hornsby does end up getting Booth and Brennan to say “I do,” we have to say that this is pretty amazing casting. At the same time, it is also hilariously awkward when you think about how David Boreanaz is going to have to potentially kiss Emily in front of her husband. Thank goodness that they are all actors and understand the difference between reality and fiction.

The “Bones” wedding has to be considered right now to be one of the biggest highlights of the fall TV season, as it is something that has literally been years in the making. While details are hush-hush, it is fair to say that Fox is going above and beyond to try and make this what you have been waiting for and more.
