‘American Idol’ James Durbin reveals record title through Amazon

Debut album title revealed

‘American Idol’ contestant James Durbin has been on fire since he signed up with Wind Up Records and fans cannot wait for the release of his debut album.

The title of his record has been revealed on Amazon.com and the album is listed on ‘pre-order’.  Durbin’s first record is called ‘Memories of a Beautiful Disaster’ and is set for release on November 21, 2011.  What is kind of interesting about the release date is that Idol alum Chris Daughtry is releasing his third album on the same day.  Daughtry was also eliminated from idol at the same point as James and Howard Benson is listed as the producer on both James and Chris’ records.

James finished up his ‘Idols Live’ tour on September 23 and has been back in Los Angeles working on his album and figuring out which track is going to be his first single.  Durbin tweeted; “Sitting around with my team trying to pick a single!”

Durbin has also released a song called ‘Stand Up’ for the new NFL compilation CD, which also Jordin Sparks.  James was grateful to his fans for their support, saying; “Thanks everyone for all the support on this NFL tune “Stand Up”. It really means a lot to me!!!!! Filmed NFL segments yesterday til midnight.”

Have you taken a listen to ‘Stand Up’ yet?  Are you ready to grab a cop of Durbin’s new album in November?  Leave us a comment and tell us what you think of his new song.
