‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Dianna Agron not asked to be in Cory Monteith tribute episode
While you may have first heard this news a couple of weeks ago, it is now official: The “Glee” tribute to Cory Monteith is not going to contain an ounce of Dianna Agron’s Quinn Fabray.
The New York Post confirmed this news in an interview with Agron, who almost insinuated (though this may have been the wording of the piece more so than anything else) that she was surprised to not be asked back for the episode. Many other “Glee” alum, including Amber Riley and Mark Salling, are slated to return, but based on what we heard earlier this season, it is possible that she may not be appearing in this season at all.
Even in spite of not really being a part of the show much anymore (in part due to her movie career), Agron insists that she holds a memory of the show close to her heart, and she does not even consider “moving on” to be the best way to describe what she is doing now:
“I think moving on might be the wrong choice of words because [‘Glee’] is always going to be a part of me and with me and I would always go back. So it’s not necessarily about a departure. It’s about what it’s imparted in me and what it’s given me.”
While we could try to sit in here and go through why Agron may have not been brought back for the tribute episode, it feels wrong and unnecessary to do so when you remember that we are talking about the death of a person in real life here. The best thing that we can do is just hope that Quinn gets an opportunity to turn up a little later in the season.

Does anyone have any idea why she wasn’t invited to be on the tribute episode? Is it because she couldn’t committ timewise? I just don’t get it. It’s seriously wrong. Did something happen between her and Cory before he died? Is there bad blood between her and one of the directors? Like, what gives?
If she does appear in an episode later on down the track, how the heck will they explain her absence? Unless it’s explained in the tribute episode.
So confusing.

This is one of the worst things I have heard related to Cory’s death. Dianna shouldn’t be denied the chance to say goodbye to Cory and the the memories she has on Glee with him. Especially since it would be with the rest of the Glee cast. Ryan Murphy is being an idiot.
