He took over midway through the season but the end result was still his meaning there is no way a vampire with so much power and authority should have sat in the Fae cemetary tied to a headstone. There is no way Sookie's character should have been written as desperate and turned to Bill after he said the things he said to her before he drank the blood of Lillith, when she tried to stake him to save Eric, and when he walked into her home once to ask for blood and the other time to retrieve Warlow. I think he should have a chance to execute his vision and if he is serious about making a change make the serious changes and allow Bill and Sookie to have a platonic friendship he only deserves. True Blood lost viewers because of the same old story lines and the writers writing the heroine to be naive when it came to Bill instead of learning her mistakes and becoming a true hero. Hopefully a spin off can come from this and the journey traveled is between Sookie with more fairy powers, Eric as a day walker, and his vampires fighting to unite the supernatural community.

If True Blood' s writers, producers, and show runners want to make a change I think Sookie should be allowed to move on from Bill. I believe her forgiving him but not forgetting the things he has done would be a wise choice for her character. Every season Bill messes up and the writers spend the next season redeeming his character and the Sookie on again off again relationship has been the main focus and priority of the show throughout the series. We are tired of seeing their storyline evolve only to be the same thing every season. It's almost like beating a dead horse when you see the Sookie/Bill/? Triangle season after season. It's funny for everything she forgives him for and she leaves Eric cold because she doesn't want to hurt either of them. Bill is a good character and I understand he is a major part of the show but it's time for him to stop smelling like roses season after season whereas Eric because of his will to survive and adapt makes a lot of viewers scoff at the idea of him and Sookie being together. If Sookie can overlook Bill's nature she should be able to overlook Eric's nature as well because Eric always seems to swoop in and save the day. Bill just so happens to be the one that takes credit for it. Everyone forgot about Eric during season 6 and toward the end it was almost as if his character wasn't a viable part of the show and didn't exist to begin with. If Bill can live through all his near death experiences and pop back up unscathed to plot another day it is only fair Eric's character should be allowed to do the same thing. Bottom line up front Sookie and Bill had six seasons to get their stuff together please drop it.
