Mrs. Carter: The world of Eric Christian Olsen just got a little bit busier.
The actor, who is already known for playing the role of Marty Deeks on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and his wife Sarah Wright reportedly welcomed a baby boy on August 16 named Wyatt Oliver. The news was just confirmed this week, and the sad thing for Olsen is that there really is no rest for the weary, thanks largely to the time in which his son was born. While he will be in his new role of “father”, he’s also going to have his hands full courtesy of the CBS series, where he is a series regular for 24 episodes a year. (That, dear friends, is hardly a small commitment.)
In his first statement to People Magazine about his brand new baby boy, Olsen had the following to say about it putting everything in perspective:
“I’ve been a part of some pretty incredible experiences in my life, but I’ve never been a part of something so surreal, so life affirming and so insanely beautiful as watching my son come into this world … It was this watershed moment where I knew that everything I valued before seems finite and temporary.”
“NCIS: Los Angeles” started up production on season 5 a matter of weeks ago, and as a matter of fact, the show recently taped what was its landmark 100th episode, with a party that went along with it. There are some pretty huge things coming up for him on the show this year, including some resolution to what happened with Kensi and the kiss at the end of last season.
The new season of “NCIS: Los Angeles” premieres on CBS come Tuesday, September 24 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
