Mrs. Carter: Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are remembering “The Bachelorette” fondly.
What’s interesting for these two is looking at what they have been through so far following the show with a little bit of perspective. With Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, it didn’t appear as though they wanted to leave the spotlight. Sean went straight from the “Bahcelorette” to “The Bachelor” to “Dancing with the Stars,” and was constantly surrounded by tabloid conversation. It was really only around May or so that he and his fiancee had an opportunity to get away.
Luckily for Desiree and Chris they quickly figured out the best way possible to start their lives in a happy new place: Getting away from Los Angeles. The paparazzi in California don’t want to make the trip to Seattle just for these two people who were one of the more normal (and most times dull) couples to be on the show, and while there’s certainly still media there, the city is much more relaxed.
What we are finding out now is that Desiree and Chris have taken a little piece of their time on the ABC show with them to their new home, and it includes a wine bottle that they got during the Madeira date. In addition to sharing the photo on her official Instagram page, Desiree also included the following caption:
“A little piece of Madeira brought to [email protected] #roses #winebottles #MadeiraDate”
We are now in the middle of the longest “Bachelorette” / “Bachelor”-related hiatus really ever since the show first started to air “Bachelor Pad.” Typically, we are never more than just two months away from either a season of the show airing or at least filming, but now, it could be still October before Juan Pablo Galavis’ journey for love begins; and with that, we’re only going to get a few teasers here and there.
Desiree and Chris first announced that they were moving to Seattle during the “After the Final Rose” special, and last week they traveled up to their new home via a road trip.
