Mrs. Carter: What’s the difference between Thomas Gibson and Manti Te’o?
While the former Notre Dame player had a fake relationship with “Lennay Kekua” leading to massive stories all around the country, the star of “Criminal Minds” must face the alleged music now over a catfishing incident that happened to him. Oh, and Gibson has also been married for twenty years to wife Christine and the couple have three children together.
The details about this report are sketchy since according to TMZ, a woman who refused to identify herself claims that she carried on a lengthy relationship with the actor that began two years ago, when she sent him-scantily clad photos on Twitter. This relationship carried on via the internet, and he even sent her the video below reportedly around Christmas of last year.
However, this fake relationship ended far before this story hit the internet today. Gibson’s lawyers, per the woman, sent her a letter months ago demanding that she cut off contact from the actor, and it was clear that the photos that she was sending were actually from some non-PG-13-rated websites. It should also be noted that Gibson deleted his Twitter account earlier this year, and at the time it was believed that it was due to some nasty comments that he was receiving in the wake of an arrest. While that could have been the case, this story brings up all sorts of other ideas.
So basically, today is not a good day in the Gibson family. Or for “Criminal Minds,” which we’ve been dishing some scoop on lately to get you ready for the show’s big return to CBS on September 25.
Updated: As reported here, Gibson and his wife were reportedly estranged at the time of the tryst.
