With us still in a bit of a holding pattern until more news pertaining to Adam Lambert’s sophomore album is released, we have a few tiny stories worth mentions for this Monday afternoon:
1. Airplay success – As we’ve been talking about every week, “Whataya Want From Me” seems to be doing a stellar job keeping Adam on the radio in some capacity while we wait for his new single to drop next month (at least per the latest reports). This week, it did a better job than usual — for the first time in several weeks, the song (per USA Today) is back over the 1,700 spin plateau with 1,712. Radio is too unpredictable to speculate if it will stay around the spin count, but expect any fluctuations to continue to be minor until the new single is dropped.
2. A brief sighting – Adam’s relationship with Sauli Koskinen has produced a few outings in the past, and we have one courtesy of some Just Jared photos. The singer was spotted with his boyfriend of the past several months out in West Hollywood Saturday, but they did not spend much time out in the public eye before taking off.
3. About the album – While we don’t have any concrete details beyond the early 2012 release date yet, there have been many questions as to why this delay has happened. Really, it probably not even be thought of as a delay — it is just Adam making sure he takes the time to put the best product out there. While there is some speculation that Adam’s change in management could be playing a role, we do not have any facts to back up those claims.
As always, stay tuned for more on all things Adam!
