Jeff Conaway forgotten in Emmy ‘In Memoriam’ segment

Why wasn’t he included?

Everyone thought that last night’s ‘In Memoriam’ presentation was amazing and people were impressed about how they remembered everyone this year.  Well as it turns out they forgot a very prominent actor who passed away in May after struggling for years with substance abuse issues and eventually sub-cumming to pneumonia.

‘Taxi’ star Jeff Conaway was completely left out of the memoriam segment and starred on both ‘Taxi’ as well as ‘Babylon 5’.  It was a huge oversight by the Emmys especially since Jeff was a television staple for decades.

Jeff passed away at age 60 on May 11, 2011 and was found unconscious, suffering from pneumonia and sepsis before he passed on.

Conaway tried for years to beat his addiction problems and even worked with Dr. Drew Pinsky on the television show ‘Celebrity Rehab’ trying to kick his habit.

No one from the Emmys has spoken out about not including Conaway in the segment at this time.
