Mrs. Carter: When it comes to life after “The Bachelorette,” some couples are inclined to move a little more quickly then others.
In the case of this article, that couple is none other than Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. Just a matter of five days after shocking most of the world in becoming engaged on the season finale, the two are now road-tripping up to Seattle, seemingly to officially begin their new chapter together. Chris had made it clear to her on the show that he was not looking to relocate, and she said during the “After the Final Rose” special that she planned on joining him in the city, which was also still relatively new to him.
Prior to their departure on the road trip, which has led to them sharing many images and quotes, Desiree posted the following message on Twitter about her taking on this new challenge:
“Always hard to say goodbye..but hello to my new chapter with @chrisrsiegfried Thanks to everyone for coming by.”
Ultimately, Desiree and Chris are hoping to become the third couple associated with “The Bachelorette” franchise to really go the distance and stay there. Trista and Ryan Sutter and Ashley and J.P. Rosenbaum are two extremely-successful married couples, and it would be great to see Desiree and Chris be another. We don’t know what it is, but contestants off of “The Bachelorette” seem to have a higher relationship success rate than those off of “The Bachelor.” Even though Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici seem firmly on the path to marriage, they are more of the exception rather than the rule.
In case you missed out on our story about their wedding plans, the two are hoping to tie the knot next summer. Granted, things are still very early and they have hardly had an opportunity to live life as a public couple.
