Kirstie Alley claimed that she lost 100 pounds since being on the hit reality show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and that she now fits into a size 4, but fashion icon Tim Gunn isn’t buying it.
The ‘Project Runway’ star gave fans some clarity on what a “size 4” really means in this day and age. He said; “There is a phenomenon out there right now that I call the lying deceptive shell game of vanity sizing. In fact a 4 is really a 6 or an 8. We took a size 8 dress from 1980 one from 1990 and one from 2000 and compared them — the difference between them was two and a half inches in the waist alone!”
Gunn thinks that Alley’s true dress size is between an 8 and a 10 and he said; “she looks fabulous. People are too size conscious.”
Do you think that Gunn or anyone should be talking about someone’s weight? Or do you think because Kirstie brought it up herself that her weight is game for anyone to comment on? Leave us your thoughts.
