Mrs. Carter: Warning: Major awkwardness ahead.
Right now, we really feel awful for Chris Siegfried. For one, the guy had to sit around all spring and listen to everyone saying that his fiancee in Desiree Hartsock was engaged to Brooks Forester; and now, he’s having to go through a publicity tour with her where he is constantly forced to hear her answer question after question about the guy who left Desiree, and the guy that may have actually won the season had he stuck around to the end.
This “Good Morning America” interview below has to be the worst for many reasons:
1. Lara Spencer misses a hilariously sarcastic comment from her co-anchor about Chris Harrison always saying that “The Bachelorette” has one of its most-dramatic finales ever the night that this said finale happens.
2. Spencer then forcing Desiree to spend a good bit of time talking about Brooks in front of Chris, including a number of questions that probably make him feel like chopped liver, such as whether or not she considered putting the brakes on everything.
3. Asking again after Desiree and Chris have said that they want to be married next summer whether or not there was anything that she had left to say to Brooks, and at this point it looked like Desiree was full-on into “send daggers” mode (and understandably so).
This season of “The Bachelorette” has now thankfully reached its long-expected conclusion, which brings us onto other pressing matters, such as how many times we will see Juan Pablo Galavis without a shirt on next season, and if we are going to hear more ridiculous claims about drama. Desiree’s season was mostly two months of boredom, and then two weeks of excitement at the end, so bring on Juan Pablo and his abs!
