‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Someone will meet the mother soon

If you remember back to some of the earlier scoops this year regarding “How I Met Your Mother” season 9, there is something that you will recall making the arrival of Cristin Milioti as the title character very important: She is going to actually meet many of the characters individually, and prior to Ted ever coming into contact with her a little later in the season.

So how soon could one of the characters be meeting her? As it turns out, very soon, indeed. Showrunners and creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas tell TV Fanatic that we are going to have the opportunity to see one of the first meetings between the Mother and one of the characters during the premiere.

So who will it be? If you remember that Marshall is currently on an airplane dealing with Sherri Shepherd at the time (or so we assume) that the meeting is going to happen, it will probably not be him. The two logical choices here are Barney and Robin, given that they are the two people responsible for really planning out all of the finer details related to the wedding, and this includes getting the band in order. We know that Milioti’s character is a musician that is a part of the group, and she was seen at the end of the finale making the trip to Farhampton. This is going to be a crazy 24 episodes coming up. not all of it is going to be linear, and we have no idea how the show is going to basically become the comedy version of “24.” Nonetheless, they seem pretty capable of making some risky moves work.
