Steve Carell would love to do an ‘Anchorman’ sequel

Steve wants a sequel

‘Anchorman’ was such a huge hit that it’s been surprising that there hasn’t been a sequel and no one is more surprised than comedian Steve Carell.

The former ‘Office’ star says that while he’s never done a sequel to a movie before he’d love to see another ‘Anchorman’ movie get made.  Despite the pressure that fans of the film, Carell, Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd have put on Hollywood to have a sequel made, it looks like no one is interested in making a second film.  Steve said;

“I’ve never done a sequel but there is one I would love to do, Anchorman 2 because I get asked about it all the time. I have spoken to Will and the director but I can’t believe it because there doesn’t seem to be an interest at studio level. It’s crazy because we all want to do it and people want to see it. I have never laughed as much as I did making that. I laughed until I cried every day and I would love to do another one.”

It’s possible that after ‘The Hangover’ sequel was completely destroyed by critics that studios are stepping away from making sequels of comedies for a while.
