Susan Boyle talks ‘America’s Got Talent’ experience

Susan’s sharing some kind words.

Susan Boyle has been hard at work lately putting some more finishing touches on her album “Someone To Watch Over Me,” but she did take a few moments out of her busy schedule recently to talk a bit about one of her most recent noteworthy performances — coming over the United States to sing “You Have To Be There” on an “America’s Got Talent” results show.

Speaking in a new email newsletter to fans, here is what the singer had to say about her love for the show — in addition to her admiration for Piers Morgan (who was there during her famous “Britain’s Got Talent” audition):

“I was very happy to return to America’s Got Talent, that show holds a special place in my heart as it was the first place I ever performed in the USA. It was also wonderful to see my old pal Piers again and have a chat, he’s doing so well in the USA with his shows and I’m very happy for him and his success. It was also great to see so many red scarves in the audience cheering me on. It means so much to me knowing that friends are in the audience.”

The kindness Susan is showing for “AGT” is especially surprising once you remember how a licensing problem kept her from performing “Perfect Day” on the show back in 2010, and it is certainly nice to see that her first experience singing “Wild Horses” in 2009 is still the standout memory.

As for her friendship with Piers, we can only hope that it translates into an interview on his CNN show “Piers Morgan Tonight” — after all, he has already interviewed her on his “Life Stories” program in the United Kingdom.

“Someone To Watch Over Me” drops in Susan’s home country on November 7 — meanwhile, it hits stores in America on November 1.
