I am really sorry to see that Cote is leaving and she will be badly missed. However I think she has made the right decision; with one or two exceptions the writers have not been producing the goods lately as far as Ziva’s character is concerned. Actors have to work with the material that is given to them and this has not been the best quality. As an actress Cote needs to move on and develop even further elsewhere. NCIS, great as it is, cannot go on forever (can anyone see the great Gibbs hobbling about with walking aids) and there has to be a limit. Spread your wings Cote!

In reply to LostDeeJay. Oh for goodness sake Cote chose to leave the show of her own accord, she's a free agent, if she had really wanted to stay then she would have done so. Accept that she's chosen to direct her career along other paths outside NCIS, You're all turning this into a flipping Greek tragedy.

Matt, as was pointed out with your last trending ‘report’, none of these trends have been worldwide afaik, and none of them show up on any site which tracks and archives the top trends. It’s very easy to research. You and they are looking at your targeted trends and not worldwide trends.

With some of their small group spamming Twitter to get the hashtag to trend, it’s amazing Twitter hasn’t automatically shut their accounts down. I can understand their dismay over their favorite quitting, I just don’t approve of all of their methods.

More truth and less obvious spin would make your site appear more legit, especially for those of the 20 million fans who are pleased to see Ziva go or really don’t care one way or the other. We’re the ones who will still be here 6 months from now. As Harmon always says, the show will get better.

I didn’t see it trend either and I’m “worldwide”. Was this a genuine worldwide trend? I know Twitter now has targeted trends as the default setting where it’s based on your location and who you follow and that’s what trends you see. If Cote’s fans did manage to make this worldwide then good on them but I’m just curious as to whether it really was worldwide or was it just worldwide as related to what the posters follow and wouldn’t be seen as worldwide to anyone who didn’t follow NCIS and that’s why some of us never saw it.

Cote fans are passionate, and are going strong. Personally I am just as upset now as I was two weeks ago when the news broke. I get that characters leave. I just can’t handle THIS character leaving so abruptly after such a long buildup.

In reply to LostDeeJay. Cote's fans are trying everything in their power to let CBS know how much she is loved and that killing her off would definitely cost them viewers. She has brought something to the show that wasn't there 8 years ago. Even if some scripts are written, surely the talented writers can make changes. I vote for the last minute drastic changes. We love our Ziva and want her back

Thank you for acknowledging the awesome effort that NCIS and Cote fans are making to ensure CBS realizes how much Cote is loved and valued by her fans. We may not be able to change things in the short term, but if there is any hope of them not killing Ziva off so she can return for her happy ending later, this campaign is worth it. Because, CBS need to know that if they kill Ziva off and she is gone for good, then ALOT of her fans leave with her. Did they not realize how popular she is? Clearly not, or they would have tried harder to show Cote they value her as much as we all do!!

And, at least Cote will hopefully realize through all this that she has a huge worldwide following who will watch her in anything she does in the future. We respect HER choices (not CBS spin about her supposed choices), and wish her well in all her future endeavours.
