‘America’s Got Talent’: did Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. win the title?

Who is the winner?

After a summer of competing, we finally made it to the “America’s Got Talent” finale on Wednesday night. In many ways, this episode did end up feeling rather different than what we saw last year — all of these acts (unlike Jackie Evancho) went through the full audition process, and there was also a band and two dance / performance troupes to go along with a singer.

Someone with singing talent has won the show every season — and the tradition continued in 2011. Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. followed up a stellar performance of “My Way” Tuesday with a victory, and we can now say that his life has been changed forever.

Of course, this victory came after the elimination of a few other contestants — including POPLYFE, the Silhouettes, and Team iLuminate. We also had plenty of filler content, some rejects performing, and some token stalling to boost NBC’s ratings.

At the end of the day, are you happy about the way this season ending?
