Eric Clapton sings at his daughter’s wedding

Eric plays wedding singer

How amazing is it to have one of rock and roll’s biggest guitar legends playing at your wedding?

Well that’s exactly what happened at Eric Clapton’s daughter’s wedding last Saturday.  Eric’s daughter Ruth wed Dean Bartlett at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Ripley, England and was walked down the aisle by her famous father in front of 150 guests.

Not only was Eric on ‘father of the bride’ duty that night, but she also hired him to be the wedding singer for an hour of the reception.

Ruth also sang a song by the Kings of Leon with her dad as a surprise for her new husband.  A wedding guest said; “Ruth sang ‘Use Somebody,’ by the Kings of Leon as her special surprise for Dean, with Clapton backing her. She’s got a good voice and has sung with her father before.”

A second wedding guest said that the wedding was “delightful”.  They said; “It was a delightful family wedding and with Clapton playing at the reception, you couldn’t have found a better wedding singer anywhere in the world.”
