The ‘Glee’ cast is on a very heavy work schedule and even Lea Michele recently tweeted about ‘Ultimate Glee days’ where she would act, record and go to dance rehearsal all in the same day.
Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on the hit television show is said to be butting heads with the show’s creator Ryan Murphy over the work schedule. Monteith apparently feels that it’s too much for the cast to be expected to go on tour and immediately go straight into filming the show. He also feels that the actors should have a greater share in the profits from the show’s album sales.
A source spoke out about Cory’s feelings concerning the workload and payment, saying;
“Cory was the show’s golden boy but has most recently been the most vocal member of the cast complaining. He feels they are being overworked. They were filming and toured without any time to recover. He’s become a de facto leader complaining to Ryan Murphy [for the cast], who they feel should give them a bigger share of the show’s success. But Ryan thinks Cory is causing trouble.”
Cory said that he only saw $400 dollars from ‘Glee’s’ number only album which is surprisingly low for all that the cast does for the show. He said; “I got 400 bucks from it going No. 1. But you know what, that’s OK, because if I’m patient, and if this thing does really well, maybe I’ll see another 400 bucks.”
Cory’s representative has denied that the reports are true, saying; “For the record, [this] is completely fabricated, I would imagine the result of lingering rumors from last month but not based in truth whatsoever. Cory is back on set and very happy to be there.”
