Reese Witherspoon will not press charges against driver

Reese is not pressing charges

Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car while she was out for a jog on Wednesday in Santa Monica, California and quickly rushed to the hospital to get treatment for the injuries she sustained.

Luckily the injuries were not too serious and the actress was released from the hospital and is at home resting.  Reese’s’ representative said she was “not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home.”

The accident occurred when an 84 year old woman did not stop at a pedestrian crosswalk and ended up hitting Reese as she was jogging.

The source says that Reese isn’t planning on pressing charges against the woman.  They said; “The incident is being treated as an accident. The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving license as it is considered a moving violation.”
